In an interview with Global Trade Review, Marjan Delatinne, Ripple’s Global Head of Banking talked about Ripple, xRapid and Facebook’s Libracoin. She revealed that more than 20 banks already use xRapid. However, regarding xRapid she described that Ripple is currently still in an ‘education phase’. Banks would still have to understand that xRapid “is not around keeping XRP on their balance sheets” which would lead to regulatory consequences.

Slovenian-based poultry business Perutnina Ptuj Group has partnered with online B2B Halal agrifood trading marketplace platform OneAgrix to launch a first in the Halal economy.

The deal will mean that as well as tracking and tracing Halal poultry, OneAgrix will be able to verify authenticity of a manufacturer’s Halal certificate before potential buyers make their purchases, known as live Proof of Concept.

According to co-founder Diana Sabrain, OneAgrix offers features such as escrow secure payment, varied shipping options, and blockchain-based traceability and certification consensus check, all of which make the platform stand out in in its sector. It began taking on suppliers in December.
